You check your firing lines or you run the risk of hitting friendlies.Īwareness of your missiles flight paths is a skill in Deadlock. The two incidents of your own ships being hit are simple. Making sure that nothing is between the shooter and the target, or behind the target, is up to you. ![]() You pull the trigger and off they fly to the target. well, impossible really and yet it happened. Not touching on the fact that these missiles, my own missiles, now with no target lock and out in deep space actually finding ANY ship, let alone my own ones, to hit is. I get, if you park your ships side by side at the same level that if you then fire missiles they will ram into your own ships (despite that being ridiculous in real life as the ships would be far apart), but in the two situations I laid out above how did they hit my own ships?! In the first case they would guide themselves around a friendly ship and in the second case the battlestar should of had a way to destroy errant missiles by the push of a button as ships in our navies do. They turned, headed back and two of them slammed into the belly of the Manticore in passing!! Another time I had sent a volley from several ships to hit one target, the first half of those missiles destroyed it which left the second half which had turned around to come back after missing the ship in the first wave to sail on back toward my own ships and slam into my battlestar! So I fired off a volley of missiles from the Adamant at the Revenant. Meanwhile, the Cylons have developed the Vespid, a swarm of dedicated bombers that quickly close the distance and release high yield explosives on their targets.I am sure everyone has noticed this at some point, but why do the guided missiles hit our own ships?įor example, I had an occasion recently where I had an Adamant out in front, way ahead of a Minotaur that was bringing up the rear. Dubbed the Taipan, these hardy fighters are heavy hitting anti-capital strike vehicles. New squadronsThe Colonials have retrofitted an ancient fighter design with a mysterious origin.
